Body Lift Thailand
Starting From Only $8,963 AUD!
Major weight loss, age and pregnancy can all lead to loose skin and muscles and a droopy physique. This is a real downer when you've gone to all the trouble to lose weight only to find that now you have another problem! Of course it affects your confidence, but it also gets in the way of daily activities and limits what you can wear. Staying fresh can also be tough, and even normal things like sitting down or standing up can require annoying, even embarrassing adjustments of sagging flesh. Fortunately there's a safe and relatively easy answer to these problems - a Body Lift.
At Destination Beauty Australia, we can help answer your questions and concerns honestly, work with you to choose a certified, experienced surgeon and set you up with a reliable hospital to give you the best results. We'll guide you through a free consultation with a real surgeon and booking your trip and your procedure. Every step of the way, we'll be here to assist you and make sure your stay in Thailand is comfortable and that you're happy with the results of your Body Lift.
What Exactly Is a Body Lift?
A Body Lift is a plastic surgery procedure to shape and tone parts of your body in combination to achieve the desired result. While it can involve many different body parts - and every situations is different - the msot common combination we see at Destination Beauty Australia involves the arms, thighs and tummy area.
The procedures involved, an Arm Lift, Thigh Lift and Tummy Tuck removing excess skin, cellulite and sagging fatty tissue to rejuvenate your appearance and give you a leaner, tighter body. Of course, as mentioned, you can combine these procedures with a Breast Lift, Breast Reduction and/or Breast Augmentation for a total Body Lift.
As you'll be in Thailand for the surgery it's common to have the surgeries performed in a short time period - either in combination or back to back. This gives your surgeons in Bangkok, Phuket or wherever you choose time to make sure everything goes okay and to evaluate the results with you.
The surgical procedure itself is a relatively common Body Contouring technique performed on people who've had significant weight loss, typically after bariatric surgery such as gastric bypass or Lap Band. Body Lift surgery is also ideal if you've given birth and want to try to return to your pre-pregnancy size and appearance. If you're in your 30s or 40s and your weight is normal, it's fairly common to undergo a Body Lift to remove the remaining skin and tissue after getting rid of your post-pregnancy weight.
With all these procedures you might think a Body Lift is prohibitively expensive, but actually the cost of a Body Lift is much cheaper - usually up to 70% cheaper - than in Melbourne, Gold Coast, Sydney or wherever you live in Australia. The safe, modern facilities combined and the experienced, qualified surgeons are what give people a feeling of confidence once they're here, but the cost is usually what makes the decision a no-brainer.
At Yanhee Hospital, Bangkok Phuket Hospital and our other partner plastic surgery hospitals in Thailand the Body Lift procedure includes Arm Lift, Thigh Lift, and Tummy Tuck and that's what the prices reflect, but you will be free to combine other procedures like a Breast Augmentation or Butt Lift if you want to - just discuss it with one of our Plastic Surgery specialists and with your surgeon during your free consultation. So, want to learn a little more about these procedures?
Arm Lift
If you are self-conscious about droopy or flabby upper arms and are unable to wear short sleeved or strapless clothes, then you may be a good candidate for an Arm Lift. The Arm Lift is a popular plastic surgery procedure that will transform your arms from "flabulous" to "fabulous."
Also known as brachioplasty, an Arm Lift can help create a trim, toned and well-shaped upper arm that complements your figure as well as your wardrobe. Arm Lift is a safe procedure that can be done with or without Liposuction, and results in inconspicuous scars.
Thigh Lift
If your inner thighs have sagging, excess skin, then you may be a good candidate for a Thigh Lift. Patients who have undergone successful weight loss involving a large amount of weight are also ideal candidates for a Thigh Lift.
The Thigh Lift is a common plastic surgery procedure that tightens your thigh skin, reduces sagging in the inner or outer thigh and smooths the contour of your thighs. It's usually done in combination with other cosmetic surgery procedures as with the Body Lift.
Tummy Tuck
For women who have had multiple pregnancies or for anyone who has undergone serious weight loss, all of which will result in excess skin and stretch marks around the stomach, a Tummy Tuck can get rid of pesky leftover skin and stretched abdominal muscles.
Tummy Tuck surgery (also called ‘abdominoplasty') is a safe and increasingly common procedure that removes stretch marks, sagging, droopy skin and fat from your tummy area. It will also firm up your muscles and give you back a smoother and stronger abdomen. Destination Beauty Australia can help you find an experienced surgeon at a safe, quality Thailand hospital (like Yanhee International Hospital or Bangkok Phuket Hospital) who can help get you the younger, firmer, more attractive tummy you remember.
Candidacy for Body Lift
If you are considering getting a Body Lift, you should be in good health and have maintained a stable weight for a minimum of three months, but preferably six months to a year. You should also have a healthy lifestyle that includes a smart diet and fitness regimen.
If you have undergone a gastric bypass, Lap-Band or other gastric restrictive procedures, you should wait at least a year after so that the common health problems associated with obesity have had time to get better.
As well, if you still plan to have kids, you should have your Body Lift surgery only after giving birth. Whatever your situation, maintaining a positive outlook and realistic goals will ensure that you have the best possible experience with your Body Lift procedure.
Complications and Risks in Body Lift Surgery
With every medical procedure is the possibility of complications, which can lead to a longer recovery period. The most common Body Lift complications include small skin separations and seromas (fluid accumulating under the skin, along the incision line). Infection, bleeding and blood clots are much less common, and your surgeon will do his or her best to minimize the risk of any complications.
Some patients may experience swelling of the hands, while others notice a reduced sensation in the treated area. Ask your surgeon to explain the risks and treatments for complications and make sure to follow his or her advice strictly to ensure optimal healing.
Preparing for Your Body Lift
Your surgeon will give you with pre-surgery instructions in the days and weeks leading up to your Body Lift. This includes quitting smoking and drinking alcohol for two weeks (before and after) and stopping taking medications and supplements that are known to increase the risk of bleeding (e.g. aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, vitamins/homeopathic regimens).
Body Lift Procedure
The Body Lift procedure will require you to stay in Thailand for at least 14 days to complete the whole process. Your surgeon will remove the loose sagging skin on the target areas. The skin is then tightened and contoured, resulting in toned, well-shaped arms, thighs, and tummy. Body Lift surgery can be done together with Liposuction and other cosmetic surgery body sculpting procedures for a more defined figure.
Recovering From Your Body Lift
You may feel some mild discomfort right after your body lift surgery, but your surgeon can prescribe medication to help alleviate the pain. Swelling peaks 2 to 3 days after your body lift, but will usually disappear within about two weeks.
You can usually return to work and other more regular activities within 2 to 3 weeks after the operation. Although individual instructions may vary, your surgeon will likely tell you to avoid any particularly strenuous exercise for at least a month and to avoid heavy lifting for at least six weeks.
The scars in the different body lift areas appear to worsen during the first weeks or months, and may take up to 18 months before they flatten and lighten in color. The scars never completely disappear, but are generally inconspicuous and can be hidden by clothing.
Outcome of Body Lift
While you may still experience some swelling and bruising after your Body Lift, your new trim thighs, toned arms and smoother, flatter stomach will be noticeable almost immediately after your Body Lift.
These combined Body Lift treatments - Arm Lift, Thigh Lift and Tummy Tuck - effectively eliminate excess skin and fat, giving you a thinner, firmer and more shapely body contour.
