Hair Restoration Thailand

Starting From Only $2 AUD Per Transplant!

Feeling weaker and more unattractive because of your thinning hair? Hair loss is definitely traumatic and can be both depressing and embarrassing. While the market is flooded with treatment options such as shampoos, vitamins and even fancy gimmicks like specialized combs, the question of a really safe, effective and lasting solution is obvious. Hair transplant is a routine procedure with instant, lasting results that solves this problem quickly and painlessly - and Destination Beauty can make the process of selecting and consulting with a qualified surgeon just as easy!

What Is Hair Transplant Surgery?

Hair transplant surgery is a safe surgical technique that reverses the effects of hair loss. It involves removing hair grafts from a donor site (normally the side or the back of the head) and then implanting the donor hair on the thinning areas. In other words, the procedure requires using your existing hair, so it is important that you have healthy hair growth at the back and sides of the head to serve as donor hair.

Hair transplant is a very simple outpatient procedure that takes approximately four to eight hours to complete depending on the condition of the skin and the extent of the problem area involved. This hair restoration procedure is usually performed using local anesthesia so that you are relaxed and don't feel any pain during the procedure.

The process entails trimming the donor site so the hair grafts can be easily accessed and removed. After trimming, the surgeon then uses a scalpel to remove small sections of hair-bearing scalp, which are then divided into tiny sections and transplanted into tiny holes or slits at the recipient site with the aid of a microscope.

What Can I Expect From My Hair Restoration Abroad?

Of course, how you will look after the procedure is your biggest concern. What good is a full head of hair if it grows in unmanageable directions and leaves unsightly scars for everyone to see? The new hair grafts will usually fall out in about six weeks, after which the new hair that grows out will become permanent. Your surgeon will take great care in removal and placement of grafts to ensure that the transplanted hair will grow in a natural direction and that hair growth at the donor site is not adversely affected. The process will leave a very small straight-line scar that will be concealed by the surrounding hair. Successful hair implants need no extra care and attention - just your ordinary washing, styling and trimming.

Though it's a fairly routine surgical procedure, hair transplant surgery requires careful preparation. Two weeks before the procedure, you'll need to stop smoking, consuming alcohol and taking any medications and vitamins. You are also required to fast for eight hours before the surgery.

It's very important that you fully understand the entire procedure as well as the potential risks and complications that may come with it. Individuals have different reaction and healing abilities, so despite the fairly high success rate of hair transplantation the outcome is never completely predictable. Infection, bleeding and scarring are some of the possible complications that might occur. There's also a risk that the hair implants will not "take". As well, if hair loss continues after surgery, there's a risk of an unnatural look, especially if the newly placed hair grafts lie next to thinning hair. Still, these risks are relatively minor and you work with us to consult with a surgeon before making a decision about how your body will react."

What Will Recovery Be Like in Thailand?

How you feel after surgery depends on the extent of the procedure. Pain or discomfort is relatively mild in most cases and can be controlled with medication. You may feel well enough to go back to work and resume normal, light activity after several days. However, you should avoid strenuous activities for at least three weeks and sexual activity for at least ten because these activities increase blood flow to the scalp and may cause your incisions or transplants to bleed. Carefully following any advice you receive from your surgeon to secure proper healing is very important.

At Destination Beauty we help you find a skilled hair restoration surgeon at a reputable hospital for your hair transplant requirement. Spend 10 days in Thailand

You will need to plan to spend 10 days in Thailand to allow for proper recovery and a final checkup before returning to Australia.

And No Nights in Hospital

Under Local Anesthesia

The procedure is performed under Local Anesthesia, meaning that you'll be awake for the duration and shouldn't experience any pain or discomfort.

What Does The Cost Cover?

The cost will cover everything related to your surgery itself, your care and the services needed to make sure you get the best results possible! That means that the cost covers your hospital stay, surgeon's consultation, the procedure itself, any medication, any follow-up checkup you might have, the meals you're served - and a free gift from us :) We always do our best to quote you the full price up front and we NEVER CHARGE A BOOKING FEE. We just want to make that clear, because many companies in Australia do!
